Matthew McKeller has been pastor of Sylvania Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas since August 1987. Raised in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, he is a graduate of Baylor University (B.A.) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div. and Ph.D). He has served on the Board of Trustees at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary since 1996. He has taught courses in the Old and New Testament at East Texas Baptist University and Dallas Baptist University. Additionally he serves as an adjunct professor of preaching at the Baptist Missionary Association Seminary in Jacksonville, Texas. He and his wife Jennifer have three daughters.
